Dr. Lorre Wolf recently retired as Director of Disability Services and ADA/504 Compliance Officer at Boston University after 27 years, where she also held faculty appointments in the departments of Psychiatry and Rehabilitation Sciences. She currently teaches in Landmark College’s online certificate program on Learning Differences and Neurodiversity.
As Dean of Learning Resources at the College of Southern Maryland, Dr. Stephanie McCaslin provides leadership and administrative oversight for Library Services, First Year Learning Seminar (FYS), Learning Support Services (LSS), the Math Resource Center, Distance Learning and Faculty Development (DLF), and the Faculty Development Committee.
Dr. Lidon Lashley has been working in the field of teaching and teacher education for the past 21 years. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Foundation and Education Management and an immediate past Assistant Dean in the Faculty of Education and Humanities.

Throughout her career, she has led efforts to foster inclusive academic environments that meet the diverse needs of all learners from K–12 through post-secondary education.
Elsa Cárdenas-Hagan, Ed.D., CCC/SLP, CDT, CALT, QI
Dr. Elsa Cárdenas-Hagan is the President of the Valley Academic Language and Education Center in Brownsville, Texas, and a Research Associate at the Texas Institute for Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistics at the University of Houston.
Dr. Kanishia Porter is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Texas Southern University. She holds both a master’s and a doctorate in Special Education from Southern University and A&M College. With 25 years of experience in the field, Dr. Porter began her career as a special education teacher in the K–12 setting. After five years of classroom teaching, she pursued a new professional path as an educational diagnostician to expand her expertise in identifying and supporting students with learning challenges. In this role, she conducted psychoeducational evaluations and collaborated with teams on programming and post-secondary outcomes for students with disabilities. Currently, Dr. Porter prepares future educators through courses in introductory special education, inclusive educational practices, school and community collaboration, and assessment and evaluation. Her research interests include best instructional strategies for neurodivergent learners, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), teacher preparation and professional development, access to higher education, and family engagement.
Emily Singer Lucio currently serves as the ADA/504 Coordinator at UMD. Emily has been in the field of higher education and disability since 1991.
Dr. Aquila Mitchell is an educator, National Board Certified licensed clinical professional counselor, and leader with over 15 years of experience in higher education. She is a committed advocate for the promotion of higher education and mental health and wellness among minority populations.
Dr. Malkia Johnson is a licensed clinical social worker and dedicated advocate with over 22 years of experience in mental health and wellness. A native of North Carolina, Dr. Johnson now resides on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where she balances her professional passion with her personal joy—being a devoted wife of 22 years to William Johnson III, mother to two adult children, and proud grandmother of two, both born on the same day a year apart.
