The Early Childhood Development and Care Centre of Excellence at the University of Guyana shares information about family relationships, early childhood education, and different aspects of childhood development within Guyana, the larger Caribbean region, and other global majority contexts. Multilevel risks and protective factors within and external to families and their influence on childhood development are discussed. A primary goal is to advance discourses with parents, governmental and nongovernmental agencies, and other institutions regarding the optimal development of children within a human rights and social justice perspective.
