Michelle Clarke, M.A.
Director, Student Disability Services, Johns Hopkins University

Michelle is a dedicated advocate for equity and access in higher education, with extensive experience supporting students with disabilities. Throughout her career, she leads efforts to foster inclusive academic environments that meet the diverse needs of all learners from K-12 through post-secondary. 

Throughout her career, Michelle has built strong partnerships across education sectors, including with Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) Special Education Department Transition Team, Independent schools in Baltimore, and presented at the Division on Career Development and Transition (DCDT) International Conference in 2024. Her work has focused on educating high school transition counselors, students, and parents about the critical process of transitioning from high school to college for students with disabilities.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Stevenson University and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University Maryland. She has completed several prestigious leadership programs, including the President’s Leadership Academy for Next-Generation Leaders in Higher Education at the Community College of Baltimore County and the Academy for Women in Leadership at Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School Executive Education Program. Michelle holds a coaching certificate in Coaching Teens and College Students with ADHD through JST Coaching and Training.

Originally from the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago, Michelle brings a global perspective to her work. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her children and family, and volunteering with local organizations in Baltimore.
