Vision
To promote high quality educational and developmental experiences in Early Childhood; sustaining career paths, and creating opportunities for evidence-based pedagogy and programmes for young children, inclusive of those with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) and their families in the University of Guyana community.
Mission
Project UG-ECCE is a childcare, teaching, and research facility which aims to be the premier early childhood institution in Guyana. The UG-ECCE offers:
- A developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children;
- Exemplary pedagogical practice and opportunities for research to provide solutions to child inequality by examining the impact of early experiences on children, inclusive of those with impairments/disabilities;
- A setting for training, clinical and practicum experience for students;
- The opportunity for observation of theoretical and research-based ideas in practice.
