Dr. Errol Liverpool

Dr. Errol Liverpool resides in the Detroit area and holds memberships in several professional organizations, including, but not limited to the Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association (MMHCA), the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Proving Innocence (PI), an organization dedicated to exonerating the wrongly convicted, where he recently served as president.

Dr. Liverpool has a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science, and a PhD.in Counseling Psychology. He has served as the president of Clear Choices Counseling Services Behavioral Health Clinic for the past twenty-five years, and taught as an adjunct professor at Wayne State University for nineteen years. He has also taught at Mary Grove College, Spring Arbor University and the University of Detroit, Mercy.

He specializes in men’s mental health with a focus on mood disorders, and family dynamics which emphasizes the four pillars of marital satisfaction; communication, money matters, conflict resolution and sexuality. 

In addition to being a clinical psychologist, Dr. Liverpool is also an ordained minister who retired from pastoral ministry in 2023. He has a genuine interest in people and a healthy respect for what makes us different. He enjoys traveling and meeting people of different cultures, and has traveled to many countries including Belize, China, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ghana, England, France, Indonesia, Israel, South Africa, Turkey, Vietnam, and throughout the Caribbean Islands. He and his wife, Nathalie, have two adult daughters and three granddaughters.
