Dr. Stephanie McCaslin
Dean of Learning Resources at the College of Southern Maryland

As Dean of Learning Resources at the College of Southern Maryland, Dr.  Stephanie McCaslin provides leadership and administrative oversight for Library Services, First Year Learning Seminar (FYS), Learning Support Services (LSS), the Math Resource Center, Distance Learning and Faculty Development (DLF) and the Faculty Development Committee.  She believes that co-locating these learning resources, programs, and policies enhances the educational effectiveness of all academic support services and maximizes resources for faculty, staff, and students.

As an educator, Stephanie has taught in the public school system- elementary and middle school mathematics and sciences, as well as at the undergraduate level.  Stephanie was a full-time faculty and department chair in the Math and Engineering Department; she has been a Transforming Postsecondary Education (TPSE) Fellow and a two-time participant in the national cohort of Math Leaders for Racial Justice (ML4RJ). She oversees all tutoring, faculty development, and student learning support at the College of Southern Maryland.
